April 19, 2019by Shreshth Tiwari

World’s #1 CRM provider Salesforce has announced that they are acquiring MapAnything, a native location-based intelligence software built on the Salesforce platform. Salesforce didn’t reveal the acquisition price. MapAnything is listed in the AppExchange and is a Salesforce SI Partner and ISV Premier Partner. The application recently raised nearly $84 million funding and integrates map-based visualization, asset tracking, and route optimization to drive efficiency for field sales and service teams and deliver a better customer experience.

In their statement, while announcing the deal, Salesforce stated “The addition of MapAnything to Salesforce will help the world’s leading brands accurately plan: how many people they need, where to put them, how to make them as productive as possible, how to track what’s being done in real time and what they can learn to improve going forward. “

It was a smart acquisition as with MapAnything, Salesforce can extend the power of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud in order to deliver enterprise-level intelligence solutions that can enhance field sales and service agent’s productivity as well as achieve higher customer success.
